Steelers vs. Ravens Preview

Tonight, the Steelers will be hosting their AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens with a 7-2 record are one game better than the Steelers (6-3). The Flacco-led team will be coming into today’s game with the second best record in their division, and will be looking the outplay the Steelers defense.

The Steelers defense has not performed badly this season, and if they continue giving only very little grounds as they have done fort he most part of the season, they can help win today’s game. The defense would have appreciate the much needed help of QB, Ben Roethlisberger who has played against the Ravens many times, but with Roethlisberger out due to injury, they will depend on backup Byron Leftwich, who hasn’t started a Sunday game since 2009. Although Byron has been working extremely hard to sync with his team, facing the Ravens defense will be a very difficult task.

Today’s game will be the biggest game of the season for both teams, as the Ravens will be hoping to become the new division lead. Expect this to be a very close game, as both teams will leave everything out on the field. The Ravens offense will find it difficult to get past the best defense in the league, and Ravens defense will be making a big mistake if they underestimate Byron Leftwich and the Steelers offense.
