Steelers QB, Big Ben and wide receiver Antonio Brown lead the Steelers to a 38-7 victory over the Buffalo Bills in third preseason game. Connecting nine passes for a 95 yards drive, big Ben threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Antonio Brown with few seconds left in the first half of the game. Antonio had a good game finishing with 108 yards on seven receptions, with two touchdowns, one of which came from back-up QB Byron Leftwich’s 39-yard throw, which was his first throw of the game.
The victory also saw the Steelers lose their rookie right guard David DeCastro to a serious right knee injury which would most likely put him out for the rest of the season. According to ESPN “DeCastro dislocated his knee cap, tore his medial collateral ligament and suffered some damage to his patellar tendon.” Although the Steelers defense is still solid as they have managed to get six interceptions so far in the preseason, there is still reason for concern, with defensive tackle Casey Hampton yet to see any action during the preseason games due to recent knee surgery. So far, the defense is still work in progress and still has lots of work to do for them to remain the No. 1 defense in the league. They will have to force more turnovers, interceptions, and sacks.
